Kurt Busch Fastest in Dover Happy Hour (Full Results + Ten-Lap Averages)

Kurt Busch #78 Car

The 78 team has definitely carried their momentum into Dover this weekend because Kurt Busch is fast once again. After posting the 5th-fastest lap in Practice #2 earlier today, Busch went out and ran the quickest lap in Happy Hour, just barely quicker than Matt Kenseth. Once again this practice was pretty un-eventful, but that’s probably a good thing for fantasy racers. The ten-lap average chart can be found below the full speed chart.

Kenseth Quickest in Practice #2 at Dover (Results + Ten-Lap Averages)

Matt Kenseth #20 Car

The first of two practice sessions at Dover International Speedway is now completed and it was two-time Dover winner Matt Kenseth who put down the quickest lap. There were no majors happenings to report but some notable drivers seemed to have been struggling, including Tony Stewart (29th), Jeff Gordon (27th), and Martin Truex, Jr. (20th). There is one more practice session scheduled on-track before the FedEx 400 on Sunday. The ten-lap average chart can be found below the full speed chart.

Kahne and Kurt Busch Quick Again

Charlotte Practice #3 (Happy Hour) Results + Ten-Lap Averages

Kasey Kahne #5 Car

The Happy Hour speed chart looked somewhat similar to the chart from the earlier practice on Saturday with Kasey Kahne and Kurt Busch ending up on top once again. Between the two sessions, Danica Patrick changed an engine, and then Trevor Bayne blew his engine halfway through the final practice of the weekend. Those two will have to start from the rear of the field on Sunday. Jeff Burton had an oil line issue but was able to get it fixed and get back out on the track. He will not have to go to the rear. The ten-lap average chart can be found below the full speed chart.

Richmond Toyota Owners 400 Starting Lineup

Matt Kenseth #20 Car

Richmond International Raceway is a 0.75-mile short track, so that means the leaders will catch the end of the field pretty quickly once the green flag waves on Saturday night. Additionally, fresh tires will be the most sought after thing throughout the race, so drivers with a bad starting position may have a hard time making it up through the field. Still, if you have a fast car, you should be able to make it through traffic. There’s no reason to think that the normal faces won’t be up front when the checkered flag waves on the 2013 Toyota Owners 400.

Jeff Gordon #24 Car

All Sprint Cup on-track practice is now complete for this weekend’s Toyota Owners 400, and now all we have is qualifying before the race on Saturday night. It’s worth noting that most of the teams worked on their qualifying setup in this practice session, so take the speeds and rankings with a grain of salt. This session was 45 minutes long compared to Friday’s earlier practice which lasted 2 hours. The ten-lap average chart can be found below the full speed chart.

Richmond Practice #1 Results + Ten-Lap Averages

Mark Martin #55 Car

This week the Sprint Cup Series is at Richmond International Raceway for the Toyota Owners 400 and they are running a real condensed on-track schedule. Even though the race is on Saturday night, the two practice sessions this weekend were scheduled for mid-afternoon, with this first one going from noon to 2:00 pm (Eastern). The normal drivers were up front during this session and that should be the case for the race as well. The ten-lap average chart can be found below the full speed chart.

Pole Sitter Kenseth Paces Happy Hour At Kansas [Full Results + 10-Lap Averages]

Matt Kenseth #20 Car

All practice sessions are now completed at Kansas Speedway for the weekend and it will be interesting to see how the speeds transfer over to the STP 400 race on Sunday. During the practices on Saturday, the track and was cool along with the air, and it is expected to warm up on Sunday for the race. Teams will probably have to adjust on the changing weather and a wrong adjustment could ruin their day pretty quickly. The ten-lap average chart can be found below the full results chart below.

Montoya Fastest in Practice #2 at Kansas [Full Results + 10-Lap Averages]

Juan Montoya #42 Car

The first of two Saturday practice sessions at Kansas Speedway just got over with, and although there may be a little surprise at who was on top of the board, the normal names were littered through the rest of the top 10. The Happy Hour practice session will go from 12:30 to 1:20 this afternoon (eastern time) and the track conditions during that session should be more like race conditions. Important happenings: nothing major to report. Be sure to remember that Jeff Gordon is going to the back because of his wreck in qualifying. The ten-lap average chart can be found below the full speed chart.
